知名文學家黃春明先生，他的文學作品反映社會現實面、深刻小人物生活，近年創辦《九彎十八拐》雙月刊提供文學創作的發表園地。

進一步，他接收丟丟噹廣場的老紅磚屋，作為文學人的龍，屋內有顆可以長出各種水果的樹，代表文化創意，定期邀請名家開講、藝文表演、故事劇場、老電影播放，舊雨新知來這裡發表成果、交流座談，成為宜蘭文學的重鎮。
