宜蘭是季風的港灣。

東北季風吹來，水氣被雪山與中央山脈攔截下來，每到下午受熱形成雲霧，飄渺的山地林間，孕育出檜木原鄉。

「棲蘭山檜木林」是許多動植物的棲息地，原住民會來這裡狩獵、採取檜木皮蓋房子；伐木工人的歌聲、木匠的巧手及常民生活的應用下，都曾與檜木交會。而林業也造就羅東的繁華與記憶，羅東林業文化園區保存完整的林業設施、聚落、載運機具等，透過展示與教育的推廣是宜蘭林業發展的活歷史。

When the northeast monsoon arrives, moisture is blocked by the Central and Xueshan Mountain Ranges; by afternoon, the moisture heats up andform mist and fog, nurturing the hometown of cypress.

Cilan Mountain Cypress Forest is home to many animals and plants.The indigenous people hunt here, or take back cypress bark to build houses. Forestry had given Luodong prosperity and glorious memory; Luodong Forestry Culture Park preserves the most complete forestry facilities, cluster, and transportation machinery and tools. Through promotion of display and education, the park presents the living history of forestry in Yilan.
